"RO AKEANON SAUDI ARABIA" In Brief History

The organization was borne out of the natural tendency of man to look for his original Kabayan with whom he can speak his native language and relate himself.

It is for this reason that informal meetings were held in Al Khobar which
culminated in the founding of RASA on 29th March 2001. It was Accredited as a Community Partner (ACP) by POLO-OWWA of the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh on June 22, 2001 during the 103rd Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Al- Khobar.

Once an Aklanon will always be an Aklanon wherever you are. Members to date are not only the one's having residence in the province but most come from as far as La Union in the north to Davao in the south. It is heartening to hear and speak again the tongue twisting Aklanon dialect where words are in diphthongs, i.e. " Ro anwang ga eogaeog sa eogan-eogan" and "Ro kaeamay ga koeapot sa kaeaha" But what propels the organization to go on is the noble objective for which it was founded.
To unite and help fellow Aklanons and OFW's in general. This is the moving spirit from which this organization gets its strength for the last seven years.
